VirtualUA is reaching out to our community and looking for dedicated candidates for the following staff positions.
Hub Operations Regional Director:
Hub Operations Regional Director must be available by email, forums, Discord, and social media as much as possible. They are the first line of contact for pilots assigned to their respective regions. They are responsible for overseeing their designated hubs, including monitoring pilot activity and reviewing PIREPs to ensure they are within requirements of the VirtualUA Pilot Handbook, and any other duties assigned by the Vice President of Operations. HORD’sHORD’s should be proactive throughout the VirtualUA community. They send monthly reports to the VP of Operations and must maintain/apply a level of professionalism throughout the VirtualUA community. He/She will report to the Vice President of Operations.
Create custom star alliance repaints for the VirtualUA fleet. Needs to be knowledgeable in repainting aircraft as well as star alliance liveries. Must be able to utilize Google apps as well as Discord. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations.
The Events Manager is responsible for creating, organizing, and running events for the organization. These events include weekly group flights and fly-ins/outs as well as more significant special events. The successful candidate will be expected to communicate with VATSIM ARTCCs and the community to ensure these events run smoothly. They will report to the Vice President of Community Relations.
Maintain flight training operations manual, along with keeping up with guidelines of vatsim rules and policies. Answering pilot questions with anything flight training related. Conduct classes on aviation training topics. Take part in special projects regarding the growth of the department on a needed basis. This position reports to the Vice President of Training.
Pilot Relations Manager:
The Pilot Relations Manager is responsible for the evaluation of new and current members here at VirtualUA. They respond to pilot inquires via email or Discord and are the frontline of our community. They also oversee recruiting and promoting members through the system here at VirtualUA and verifying transfer hours. The Pilot Relations Manager reports to the Senior Vice President of Experience.
Social Media and Communications Manager:
The Social Media and Communications Manager is responsible for creating content for our social media outlets. This will primarily be creating graphical content such as banners and event images but may extend to scheduling posts on our platforms. They report directly to the Senior Vice President of Experience.
All Above positions utilize the same core qualifications:
-Must be 16 years of age or older.
-Must be active in Discord and other social media outlooks.
-Must be proficient in communication skills, oral and written.
-Must have a basic level of leadership skills.
-Must NOT be apart of any other Virtual United Airlines as staff or pilot.
-Must NOT be apart of any other Virtual Airlines as a staff member.
-Must be dedicated.
